Michael Jackson Zombies

So you want the Michael Jackson Zombies look? Perhaps for Halloween?

But first, a reminder of the zombies in action:

It's the 1950s.

Young Michael and his pretty date run out of gas in a dark wood. They head off into the forest (have they never watched horror films before!). Michael asks her out. Pretty date says yes. Then (notice how he waits until after!!) Michael tells her that he is "different".

The full moon makes an appearance. Michael changes ... ooooooo ... into a werewolf. His date runs away, screaming. Werewolf catches up, knocking her down, raises his claws, and ...

.. We are in a movie theater. Michael and his date are watching all this in a movie titled "Thriller". Michael's date is scared, but he is relishing it. She is scared and gets out. Michael reluctantly follows and catches up to her. Smiling, he says, "It's only a movie".

They walk down a foggy street, chatting, and then past a graveyard. The corpses - zombies - rise from their graves and surround Michael and his date. Michael becomes a zombie and dances with the undead. Terrified girlfriend scarpers.

They follow. And in the old house in which she tries to hide, Michael and the other zombies trap her. Michael slowly reaches for her throat .. She screams ...

.. And wakes up to find she has been dreaming. Michael (human) offers to take her home. As they leave, Michael looks back at the camera, grins, and flashes his yellow werewolf eyes. And that terrible, blood-curdling, Vincent Price laught swells ...

The Michael Jackson Zombies are all unique. They have different body parts missing, different clothes, different stages of decay, etc. So it's easy to put together the look.

Ragged, torn clothes with lots of charcoals, greys and "blood" staining. Body parts missing or simply oozing out of the tears in the clothes. Decaying body parts showing.

Your head should be at the same level of decay. Meaning, if your body parts showing are so decayed that skeleton bones show through, then you want your face and hair to also appear that decrepit. So some skull bone exposed, grey flesh, cobwebby hair.

If you want to be a "newer", "fresher" zombie, the greyish complexion is still a must - everywhere that is visible. But you probably don't want skeleton bones exposed. So your "flesh" will be mostly intact.

You can make yours (or your child's) zombie costume. You can zombify your face and hands with face paint. You can gel your hair so it looks messy, and sprinkle on lots of powder to give it a dusty look.

Alternatively, you could buy some parts of the zombie costume, or the whole costume, and masks which would be easier.
